I fell in love with throwing the javelin in high school where I threw for 2 years. I threw for the US Military Academy at West Point for 4 years and competed in a few meets early in my Army career. I started throwing again seriously when I turned 50 in the Senior Games / Senior Olympics and have been competing ever since in both Senior Games and Masters competitions.
