After skipping senior Olympics for 9 years due to a conflict with softball I decided I could break the pole vault record locally and I did. Since then its been a fun journey meeting some great guys and gals. I'm over 150 medals but my hero Alan Schenck has over a thousand. All of us are blessed just to be able to compete regardless of the results. This year my pal Troy Bellrichard won the discus in Albuquerque. Senior Olympics is full of those stories and friendships. As I train to improve and make All American in multiple events--HJ 3J and PV I seem to have a recurring string of injuries which have frustrated me but I will overcome.
